So I had neuropsychiatric testing to see if the concussion caused any permanent damage and got diagnosed with severe adhd instead 🥴
I found it interesting that there are several disorders that are often found with ADHD, like oppositional defiant and conduct disorders, anxiety, depression, tic disorders or Tourette syndrome, substance abuse, sleep disorders and learning disabilities.
I would argue that several of these are actually from having adhd. It’s very stressful having a brain like a fkn colander and it’s very depressing to keep making messes bc you miss small but important details.
I won’t even bother with stimulants, this isn’t the first time I was diagnosed with ADHD and it won’t be the last lmfaooooo instead of medication I plan on doing CBT and skills training with a specialist. Obviously when I can 💨 again, that’s helped more than anything else. Also, more studies are needed but there is substantial evidence that suggests microdosing (not macrodosing!) 🍄 can provide symptom relief comparable to conventionally offered medication options so I’ll continue doing that as well
